Foley

What is it?

We don't always notice Foley being used in the Media industry, however, in the horror genre, we do. It's the one thing that stands out to us and the one thing that helps emphasise the effect of what is going on in the scene.

How to use Foley:

Most sound effects are made in the most simple ways such as breaking bones which is normally done by using celery. But with blood, you can create this effect in many ways such as praying a water hose in your mouth or spraying water OUT of your mouth. Depending on the scene and genre, you can also adjust the pace of it to make it either seem like blood or a tap.
